Most FTP programs do not work with the new Windows Firewall that is include with XP Service Pack 2.

The FTP program may not work or they may work sporadically.

The solution is to use the FTP built-in to Internet Explorer or to turn off the Windows Firewall under the Control Panel and install Zonealarm.
