You can use FormMail with HTTPS SSL encryption. Here is how:

1. Download a copy of the /cgi-bin/formmail script from your web site using FTP .

2. Upload the copy to the /secure-cgi-bin folder using FTP .

3. Set the file to executable using the WebsiteOS File Manager to set the permissions to executable by finding the file and then changing the permissions.

4. If you are using the free Generic SSL Certificate, you will need to create or edit a file called formmail.conf in your /private folder. Add this line to it:

referrers=domain.com, securewebexchange.com

This allows you to send email from the securewebexchange.com domain using FormMail.

You can now access your script using:
https://www.securewebexchange.com/domai ... n/formmail

Note that even though formail is in the /secure-cgi-bin folder, it is referenced with /cgi-bin.

If you use the redirect function of formmail, you might want to put this page in the /secure folder or the browser will display the "You are being redirected to a non-secure page" error message.

You will also want to have absolute http://www.domain.com links in this page so that the user goes back to the unencrypted web site.

Note that emails sent with FormMail are not encrypted. Just the connection between the browser and the server. If you are trying to use the SSL for an order form, you may want to look at EZStoreMaker or EZStoreMakerPRO in the WebsiteOS. They encrypt orders and store them in a secure database that you can securely access via an SSL web page. Check out the WebsiteOS help for more info on them.
